Chats with Industry Insiders: Lolo.Gifts

Looking for a simple and meaningful way to stay relevant to your real estate sphere in 2020? Lolo Gifts can make it happen!

Would you like a tool that you can use to nurture your sphere that also tells your prospects, “Hey, I'm different than all the other agents out there?”

This is usually done with a gift. But even though it’s the most effective way, gift giving can also be time consuming and expensive. Still, I thought that was the only option — that is, until I met the crew from Lolo.gifts at the NAR Convention.

Check out what they have to say and how they can help you make a great impression.

Joe: I'm at the NAR convention, speaking with the folks at lolo.gifts. And what exactly do you do, Matt?

Matt: We help agents stay engaged with their sphere of influence by creating a meaningful touch point that goes out to anyone in their network and conveys gratitude every month. It's the thought that counts, right? We need to keep people engaged for more referrals and more repeat business.

Joe: Totally — it's the whole reciprocity thing, which is hard to implement. But many agents don't get why they should go the extra mile for their sphere. How will this help them do that and not worry?

Matt: On the day of the sale, you're on speed dial with your clients, right? You're there, you're working with them, but as time goes by, you start working with new clients. It's hard to stay engaged with former clients and take the time each day. We have a “set it and forget it” program that enables you to ensure that each month something thoughtful is going to appear on their smartphone via text message and email, and it supports local. So every gift that they receive is supporting your local community and showing how you connect with your local community.

Joe: Let’s say I'm a new agent. I’ve only been in the business one year, and I don't have a whole lot to spend. How much is this going to cost me?

Matt: That's also the great thing. You only need a minimum of 25 contacts to get started, and it runs from $1.10 to $1.75 per contact per month. It’s a fair price to ensure that each of your important people get something thoughtful from you every month.

Joe: How can I follow up with someone once they get the gift?

Matt: That's also a great opportunity. It's digital, right? So it's going via text message and email, and it creates conversations. Often, they'll reach out to you first because they get something on their phone. They might reach out and say, "Thank you; this is great. Maybe we can go get this coffee together sometime." And agents can easily see who uses the gift, who clicks on it and who opens it. They get an engagement score so they can always know how engaged they are with their sphere of influence, which is important for repeat and referral business.

Joe: Totally. Well, that’s easy. Now, what areas are you in? Can you show us?

Matt: We are all across the country at this point. These are the public markets that we're in, and we'll be adding more all the time. And one of the nice things about it is all it takes is 400 recipients of the gift for us to open a new area. So if there's a couple of agents with a couple of hundred contacts each, we can launch a totally new gift of the month in your local community.

Joe: Okay. So if I don't see my area on the map, if I get three or four agents together, I could contact you?

Matt: Exactly. If you go to Lolo.gifts/join, it'll show you all of the different areas that we're in. And if you're not seeing an area that you would like to see, simply scroll down the bottom, suggest the area, tell us how many contacts you have and once we get to over 400 contacts, we'll launch it out.

Joe: I love it. Is this how it looks?

Matt: Yep, it looks like this. You get the ability to put in your logo, your photo, your contact information and a personalized message. And again, one of the nice things is that it's a “set it and forget it” program. We can write a nice message each month for you, but if you want to personalize it, you can put your own anecdote in. Each month, 48 hours before it goes out, you get notified so you can go and check out the gifts and you'd see what's been written, update your gift list, et cetera.

Joe: I love it, and I love the price. I love the personal touch that it has. I would recommend any agent, whether new or experienced, if you're not leveraging your sphere and leveraging the power of reciprocity, you’ve got to try this out. Is there an initiation fee?

Matt: Nope. No fees to get started. Once we launch it, you pay for a minimum 25 recipients each month at the rate you've chosen and that's it.

Joe: So easy. Thanks Matt.

What do you think about that? Lolo.gifts gives you the ability to nurture your sphere of influence in an automated way so it’s easier for you — but you can customize or add a message as you see fit. We can't forget that the ability to send gifts to prospects is so important in today's society. It builds reciprocity where they feel obligated to give something back to you — which is a listing.

Make this work for you at lolo.gifts, where you can have one platform and spend as little as a dollar per prospect. It's so cheap. Anyone should be able to sign up and get started right away. Check them out, and see if they've launched in your area yet. And I encourage you to take advantage of this tool that will get you more listings and get that commission check coming in sooner than you thought.
